Info

After the end of the Fahr collaboration, Güldner quickly developed a new range, the G series, which also featured new modular, air-cooled engines. Both the cylinder bore and stroke were 100 mm, meaning the engines were short-stroke. The increase in torque was modest, but otherwise, the engines were sophisticated. All Güldners were now red.

The first 3-cylinder model of the G series was the G 40 Toledo (36 hp), introduced in 1962. The ZF transmissions had 8+4 gears with shift levers on the dashboard. There were 20 km/h and 30 km/h speed options, the faster known as the S model. The lifting capacity was clearly higher than before, and draft sensing was standard. A four-wheel drive version of the G 40 was also introduced a year later. Its ZF front axle had the driveshaft on the left side of the engine. Thanks to a multi-plate clutch, the four-wheel drive could be engaged on the move. There was also a 1076 mm wide vineyard version of the G 40.

In 1963, the smaller G 25 and G 30 were introduced. The only 2-cylinder model in the range, the G 25, had 24 hp, while the 3-cylinder G 30 had 32 hp. Other features, such as shift levers placed under the steering wheel, were the same as the larger models. The G 30 corresponded to the larger G 40 in terms of wheelbase and engine size, but its engine speed was lower. With a production total of 8,800 units, the G 30 was the best-selling model in the range.

In 1965, the G 15 was added to the range, which was the old A 2 KS Spessart with minor modifications. It had new steering and a front grille matching the G series. Power was 15 hp.

Another 1965 new model was the 4-cylinder, 45-horsepower G 45. In 1967, the 35-horsepower, 3-cylinder G 35 (35 hp) was introduced. It was the smallest Güldner model available with four-wheel drive.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
