John Deere 6R 180-260

In the summer of 2026, John Deere announced the 2027 model year update for the large-frame and extra-large-frame models in the 6R series. The latter were represented by the 6R 230 and 6R 260 models, with the latter having an IPM smart power output of 305 horsepower. The 6R 240 was clearly a more powerful version of the large-frame models than before. The engines were 6.8 liters.

In addition to the continuously variable AutoCommand transmission (ZF Eccom), a new transmission option on most models was the e19 transmission, which combined Powershift technology with a dual clutch. The hydraulic output was 155 l/min as standard, with a new 210 l/min option available as an accessory.

Driving characteristics on the road were improved with the Sport Package Pro equipment package. This package combines updates to the chassis, steering, and brakes that enhanced stability, driving comfort, and steering precision both on the road and in the field.

The cab was the new CommandView 4. The cab frame was redesigned. The rear pillars tilted forward. Visibility to implements was also improved by a curved rear window. The noise level dropped to 66 decibels. Standard equipment included the CommandX Plus joystick, the G5 CommandCenter display, the StarFire 7500 receiver, and a JDLink modem. The display pre-activated upon opening the door. A separate display for controlling cab comfort functions was located in the armrest. The new touchscreen radio featured CarPlay and Android Auto support. Hydraulic cab suspension was improved.
