John Deere 6M 130-185

For the 2027 model year, the exterior design and controls of the 6M Series cab were adapted to resemble those of the larger models more closely. As an option, a new CommandARM armrest and a 10.1-inch G5 CommandCenter display or the new CommandX Plus joystick were available.

The 6M Series "Small Frame" four-cylinder models were equipped with a 4.5-liter PSS engine featuring a variable geometry and fixed geometry turbocharger combined with EGR. The "Medium Frame" models had a six-cylinder PVS engine with a single variable geometry turbocharger. All models included a particulate filter, oxidation catalyst, and urea injection. Additional power of 20 hp was available in PTO operation and at road speeds. The highest-powered models in both frame sizes were only available with the stepless AutoPowr transmission. The four-cylinder models with traditional transmissions offered 24+24 gears with a 4-speed powershift, while the six-cylinder models retained the previous 20+20 gear configuration.

The new e19 transmission was available for the 6M 145-185 models, combining a dual-clutch and proportional valve control. According to the manufacturer, this ensured smooth, uninterrupted shifts and a more dynamic driving experience. Compared to the automated CommandQuad Plus transmission, the new e19 offered up to 5% better tractive power and 5% lower fuel consumption. At 50 km/h, engine speed was 1,620 rpm.

Load-sensing hydraulics delivered 114 to 155 l/min. The 130 and 140 models featured an 80 l/min pressure-compensated system as standard. Electrically controlled hydraulic valves were available as an option in sets of three, with up to four valve blocks at the rear.

The 6MH 155 was a special version with a high 760 mm ground clearance, equipped with 320/90R50 tires front and rear, and a maximum speed of 30 km/h.

Noise level was 70 dB. The instrument cluster was located on the A-pillar. Optional equipment for the 6M included automatic steering, section control, mechanical cab suspension, hydropneumatic front suspension, and a trailer brake valve.
