Info

Ritscher joined the German interest in work machine carriers in 1954, when the Multitrak 512 G (from 1955 onwards Multitrac) was introduced. It had an MWM 12-horsepower engine and a ZF 10+2 gearbox. The wheelbase could be adjusted from 1.68 meters to 2.5 meters around a frame consisting of two beams. Track width adjustment was possible in six steps between 1.25 and 2.0 meters. A front power take-off was available as an option, while a ground power take-off was standard. A platform with hydraulic tipping was available on the front frame. The operator's seat was positioned on the right side of the center line.

Later the same year, a 17-horsepower version 517 G was also introduced. Its 2-cylinder 1.3-liter engine was manufactured by Güldner. In 1956, a parallel model 517 GH equipped with 32” wheels was launched.

The Multitrac was fairly affordable – the 12-horsepower model cost slightly less than the smallest standard tractor 515.

In 1958, the Multitrac D 20 was introduced, and in 1961 the Multitrac D 25 P. Their 1.7-liter engines were purchased from Deutz. The 25-horsepower version also featured a 1000 rpm power take-off.

The last Multitracs were produced in 1963. In total, about 7,700 Ritscher tractors were manufactured, of which about 2,000 were Multitracs. Around 500 Multitracs were sold under the Güldner brand and 200 as Deutz.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
