Info
Four-wheel drive models 4490 (194 hp), 4690 (233 hp), and 4890 (273 hp) equipped with four-wheel steering from the 90 series were introduced for the year 1980. Unlike most of their competitors, the Cases were not frame-steered but featured automatically coordinated four-wheel steering. This solution was justified by, among other things, better maneuverability and greater stability on slopes.
The engines were the same as in the preceding models. The two smaller models had Case’s 8.3-liter engine, and the largest one had Scania’s 11-liter engine. The updated Con Trol hydraulics were equipped with single-lever control.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information.
There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed.
Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
