At Agritechnica in autumn 2009, a smaller version of the 200-series Fendt Vario was introduced, equipped with the company's own 3.3-liter Agco Power engines. The engines featured common rail injection and exhaust gas recirculation. Later tightening of emission standards was managed similarly to Valtra by tweaking the nominal power ratings model-specifically to 38, 41, 44, 46, and 49 hp. The Vario transmission was the same ML 75 as in the 300 series and did not have separate field and road ranges. A speed of 40 km/h was achieved at 1700 rpm. There were two cruise control memories.
