Fendt 513-516 Vario Gen4

The popular four-cylinder Fendt 500 Vario was updated to the Gen 4 generation in autumn 2025. The engines were changed from Deutz to Agco Power. The Core50 engines were 5.0 liters and had a maximum output of 134…164 hp. There was an additional 10 hp when power was needed for the radiator fan, air conditioning or hydraulic pump. The nominal speed was 1900 rpm. The engine did not require exhaust gas recirculation.

The transmission was changed to the new VarioDrive TA120, which no longer had a range gear. Like the larger models, the front and rear axles now had separate hydrostatic motors, which allowed for adjusting the drive ratio between the axles and automatic four-wheel drive. The solution also helped reduce the turning circle to 10.1 meters. 50 km/h was reached at 1600 rpm. The transmission oil change interval was 4,000 hours and the hydraulic oil 2,000 hours.

Up to 10 hydraulic valves were available for the Profi+ models. A separate central valve enabled the use of a front loader regardless of the situation. The lifting capacity was 7,890 kg and the hydraulic output was 109 or 152 l/min. The power take-off was four-speed as standard. The new axles enabled a payload of 4.9 tonnes and a total weight of 11.75 tonnes.

The standard equipment (Power) included, among other things, mechanical cab suspension, front axle suspension, a compressed air system and 3 hydraulic electric blocks. Power+ had a 12” terminal, steering acceleration and basic automation systems packages. Optional equipment included a fully integrated VarioGrip tire pressure control system, hydraulic auxiliary brake, trailer brake assist, fan cleaning function and laminated/heated windshield.
