Info

Fendt overhauled its styling in the spring of 1968. The old-fashioned rounded lines were replaced by a contemporary angular design that remained largely unchanged into the 1990s.

The Farmer series, which had debuted in 1958, retained most of its original technology. The three-cylinder engines—except for the 2 D—were now water-cooled MWM units, just like the earlier four-cylinder models. The S models featured an additional gear, allowing them to reach 30 km/h on the road, and they were also equipped with a torque converter.

The four-wheel-drive versions had hydrostatic steering, and their front axle was manufactured by ZF. Sales of the four-wheel-drive models were still modest.

In 1970 the largest model in the range became the 5 S, with an output of 65 hp.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
