Info

In the spring of 1984, the updated 94 series models replaced the 90 series. In the 94 series, the tractor frame had been changed to black, but the striping was given a red color. The 1394 received a turbocharger, and its power increased by 6 horsepower. Ergonomics in the cab were improved, and the upholstery color changed to gray. The clutch was self-adjusting, except for the 1194 model. Otherwise, the technology remained almost unchanged. The tractor was equipped, among other things, with Selectamatic hydraulics and a 12+4 gearbox.

At the end of 1984, Case's owner Tenneco acquired International Harvester's agricultural machinery production. The first effects on the tractors were seen at the end of 1985, when the colors of both brands changed to red and black, and the brand was renamed Case International. The smallest models were removed from the 94 series, leaving the 1394-1694 models. In Finland, all tractors were imported with the HS transmission except for the 1394, which was also available with a traditional transmission. In the autumn of 1986, the transmission gear ratios were thinned by 10% to increase highway speed.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
