Info

The DT-24 was a Soviet general-purpose tractor manufactured by the Vladimirets and Tashkent tractor factories between 1955 and 1958. The engine was a water-cooled 2-cylinder swirl chamber diesel, started with gasoline using a rotary valve operated by hand on the side of the tractor. It had 5+2 gears, and in the last year, a model DT-24-2M with a 6+2 transmission was also available. There were 3- and 4-wheeled versions in production, with the 3-wheeled version continuing production even after the introduction of its successor, the T-28, in 1958. An optional accessory was a sunshade. The tractor was painted green or red.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
