Info

At the Kharkov factory, the production of work machine carriers began with the 1-cylinder model DVSŠ-14, followed by the 2-cylinder T-16 introduced in 1959. It featured an air-cooled diesel engine D-16 with a power output of 16 hp. The T-16 was in production from 1961 to 1967. Its successor was the improved T-16M, which was equipped with the same 2.1-liter engine as the T-25 tractor from the Vladimir factory. At this stage, the cab was also new. The 7+1-speed gearbox was redesigned. In the model T-16Mg, produced from 1986 onwards, hydrostatic steering was introduced.

At least in West Germany, the T-16M was sold under the name Belarus 250 GT.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
