Info

The Gleaner K was still an improved version of the smallest E-model in the lineup. The Allis-Chalmers engine had apparently been replaced, likely for cost reasons, with a slightly more powerful GM 6-cylinder gasoline engine. A diesel engine was no longer an option. As an accessory, one could get a header that automatically followed the contour of the field surface, hydraulic height adjustment for the unloading auger, and hydrostatic steering to replace the unassisted steering.

Over 20,000 units of the K-model were produced, but by the time the K2 was manufactured between 1977 and 1981, demand for small combines had already weakened significantly. The K2 once again offered the Allis-Chalmers 4-cylinder diesel (72 hp) as an optional accessory. The sieving area and grain tank were slightly larger than before.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
