Info

In the summer of 2003, alongside the T-series, corresponding 4-cylinder models called the M-series were introduced. The most powerful model in the lineup, the M150, was the second 150 hp class four-cylinder engine after the Fendt Xylon. The other models were the M120, M130, and the low-speed model M120e. All models were equipped with the SisuDiesel 44EWA engine featuring an electronically controlled distributor pump. The transmission was the familiar HiTech with a three-speed powershift and two different types of powershift automation. The hydraulics, with free-circulation valves and electronically controlled valve blocks, matched those of the T-series. The cab was also the same as in the T-series, with a reported noise level of 73.5-75 dB, and 71.5 dB in the low-speed model. The cab shown in the picture is equipped with TwinTrac rear control devices, with the control armrest on the left side. The front axle on the M-series was Dana on all models.

The Valtra M was a model whose features raised eyebrows. Weighing 5130-5450 kg, with a length of 490 cm and a height of 297 cm, it had dimensions that few six-cylinder machines in the same power category exceeded. Additionally, the weight distribution of 50/50 was unsuccessful for many types of work. Only a little over two years later, the N-series was introduced, with features that were significantly better suited, and the M-series was phased out from markets such as Finland. However, frame-steered parallel models (the XM-series) continued on the market for a little while longer.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
