In autumn 2025, the large Optums and the corresponding Steyr Cervus range were introduced. The new models were in the same power class as the Magnum models, but the Optums designed for Europe were more versatile in terms of their intended use. The cabin was the same as in the smaller Optums, but most of the other technology differed substantially.

The engine was FPT's 8.7-liter Cursor. The engine's oil change interval was 750 hours. The transmission was a CVT, with 4 speed ranges for the front and 2 for the rear. The promised top speed was 66 km/h. The speed of fifty was reached at 1500 rpm.

The front axle was independently suspended and was manufactured at the group's own factory in Italy. The front differential housing had four-disc wet disc brakes. In enhanced engine braking, additional cams on the camshaft allowed compressed air to be released into the exhaust system during the exhaust stroke.

New technology included a central tire pressure control system, an electric front lift with pressure sensing, and a computer-controlled cab suspension. The cabin noise level was reported to be 68 dB.
