The CR series combine harvesters were a combination of the technology from the CX and the earlier American TR. The CR had two longitudinally opposed rotating reels, with a total length of 264 cm. Screws at the ends of the longitudinal reels conveyed the grain, carried by chaff and spiral strips, to the rear end where there was still a centrifugal separator. The chaff wraps around the entire length of the reels because the straw wraps several turns backward as it moves.
