Info

In 1954, Zetor introduced the 42-horsepower Super, whose production got underway a couple of years later. The model was also known by the designations Super 35 or Super 42. The lineup also included the tracked tractor Super P. The 4.2-liter dry-sump lubricated direct-injection diesel engine produced 42 hp DIN. There were 5+1 gears, and later, a creep gear was available as an optional accessory. A tachometer was included in the standard equipment. The power take-off was dependent on the driving clutch. As with smaller Zetors, the differential lock was standard. The Super was available either in green or red. Both colors made their way to Finland, but the Super’s sales success fell far short of its smaller siblings, even though the price was reasonable.

In 1960, the engine received additional power. The ratings were now recorded as 50 hp DIN and 52 hp SAE. There were 8+2 gears across two ranges. The equipment now included a dual clutch. Over 128,000 Zetors Super were manufactured in Czechoslovakia. Production continued in Burma until 1975.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
