Info

In 1954, the Fleetline lineup was renewed as the Super series. The design featured only minor changes, and the engine side panels were removed. Initially, the rims were green, but later they returned to red. The engines grew slightly larger than before. They were still manufactured by Waukesha, with a short stroke, wet cylinder liners, and overhead valves. The compression ratio of the gasoline models was increased to 7.0. The Super 77 and 88 had a pressurized cooling system. The diesel models had a 12-volt electrical system. The diameter of the clutch plates was increased to 9, 10, and 11 inches. The Super 66 and 77 received a new Hydra-Lift three-point hitch.

The Super 99 was completely redesigned to be more like the smaller models. It was available with a Waukesha 4.9-liter gasoline or diesel engine or GM's two-stroke diesel, which featured a mechanical Roots-type supercharger that enhanced the cylinder scavenging phase. The clutch was 12 inches, and in the GM model, 14 inches. Optional extras included 15-34 wheels and power steering. Starting in 1957, a mechanical quick-shift gear was also available. For the smaller models, an optional Power Booster Drive, a hydraulic downshift quick gear, was introduced.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
