Leyland 245-482 Synchro
In March 1978, the old 10+2 gearbox was replaced with a synchronized 9+3 gearbox. The gearbox was one of the first where engaging the reverse gear was possible without completely stopping the tractor. However, the range gearbox was still unsynchronized. The range shift lever was on the left side of the driver, and the main gear shift was on the right. The external change was the red stripes on the decals. New features introduced included the four-wheel-drive models 462 and 472, equipped with a Carraro front axle and a central driveshaft.
