Manufacturer
Models
Fahr D 45 L, Fahr D 60 L
Years
1952-55
Info

Fahr introduced a larger tractor in 1952 than any of its previous models. The model designation was originally D 55 L, but the actual production versions were released as the D 60 L. Unlike the smaller models, the engine was not a load-bearing part of the frame. It was a four-cylinder, air-cooled Deutz. The gearbox was a 5+1 unit made by ZP. Optional extras included crawler gears, a dual clutch, and road gears, which gave it a top speed of 32 km/h.

To fill the gap in the lineup toward smaller tractors, a three-cylinder D 45 L was introduced. Its gearbox was a ZF A-17, which unfortunately proved to be weak in terms of durability.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
