Info

The successor to the DX 160 model was the DX 7.10, which was introduced to the market in 1984. It was largely similar to the DX 6 series, but the transmission was a 36+12-speed unit manufactured by Steyr. The transmission had 3 ranges, with the slowest and fastest being sequential in speed ranges, and the middle range overlapping both. In addition, there was a creep range and a 2-speed hydraulic powershift. The lifting capacity was significantly greater than that of the DX 6 series. In the USA, the DX 7.10 was known as the Deutz-Allis 7145.

Among Deutz’s large tractors, 200-horsepower DX 230 models were produced between 1980-82, and 220-horsepower DX 250 models between 1982-83. Their successor was the DX 8.30. It was equipped with a turbocharged 9.6-liter engine (220 hp). The transmission was purchased from ZF and the hydraulics from Bosch. The transmission had 18+6 gears. The lifting device was electrohydraulic. The most significant difference from its predecessor was the new front axle equipped with a differential lock. From 1985 onwards, the engine was the newer 513 series.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
