Info

The emergence of the new Deutz series began gradually in 1958. Already the previous year, a model conforming to the new series, the F 2 L 612/6, was introduced to the market, which was renamed the D 25. The new models featured new 712-series engines, with a cylinder bore of 95 mm. A technical innovation was the suspended front axle. The 1958 models had yellow decorative paint on the engine hood in the old Deutz style. Later models had a chrome strip on the front instead.

The smallest model of the lineup, the D 15, was introduced in 1959. It was only a light update of the preceding F 1 L 712 model and differed in many ways from the larger models. A differential lock was standard also on this model. In 1962, production of the D 15 was moved to the Fahr factory.

In 1960, the D 25.2 was introduced, replacing the D 25 S. New features included a longer wheelbase, an 8+2 gearbox, and an engine power increase of 2 hp. At the same time, the D 30 and D 30 S models were introduced, featuring a 28-horsepower engine and, as a novelty, the Transfermatic power transfer system. The S model also had a dual clutch. Starting from 1964, the series switched to 812-series engines while maintaining the same power ratings.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
