The world’s first hillside combine harvester with both longitudinal and lateral tilt—the Laverda M 100 AL—came onto the market in 1971. Subsequent AL models included, among others, the M 112, M 3300 and M 3350. During the 1990s L-series era, the hillside models 3550 AL and New Holland 3560 AL were still based on 3000-series technology. The 3560 AL was a four-rotor machine with a 170 hp engine and a 480 cm cutterbar.

In the early 2000s, Laverda introduced the five-rotor 2450 AL, which in terms of technology corresponded to the other five-rotor Laverdas of the time; at the same time, the 3560 was replaced by the 1740 AL.
