Info

The largest combine harvester manufacturer in Europe, Ködel & Böhm, had produced nearly half a million combine harvesters when it introduced its first combine harvester, the Köla SM 3, to the market in 1951. This was a self-propelled combine equipped with a 230 cm cutting table and a 52 hp diesel engine. Later, the SM 4 with a 10 cm wider cutting table was introduced alongside the GM 4, a pull-type combine harvester with its own engine.

The threshing drum of the SM 3 and 4 was a full 150 cm wide. The width of the single-section beater was the same. Bagging equipment was standard, and a grain tank was available at an extra cost. The height adjustment of the cutting table was hydraulic, and the height of the straw walker was adjusted with a lever from the driver's seat. The speed of the threshing drum could be adjusted steplessly. Standard grain sieves were 8, 10, 12, and 14 millimeters.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
