Info

The Ford factory stuck to its own production of rear-wheel-drive models and left the four-wheel-drive models to others. Four-wheel-drive conversions with small front wheels were offered for Fords by Roadless and Selene (Manuel). County also got interested in competing with these and introduced the 4000-Four. This was followed by corresponding models of the 4600, 6600, 7600, 6700, and 7700. These were equipped with both Ford cabs and Hara flat-floor cabs. The County Four models had a differential lock from the start.

When the 10-series was introduced, County versions of the 6610 and 7610 were presented, but at this point Ford’s own, cheaper four-wheel-drive models had taken over the aftermarket's business. Ford’s four-wheel drive was also significantly more agile than County's. Additionally, County still used the old unsynchronized constant mesh gearbox. In the last E-models, County switched to cheaper Carraro front axles.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
